      • 1 Tablespoon Dry Yeast
      • 1 1/8 Cups Lukewarm Water (About 95 - 105 Degrees)
      • 1 Teaspoon Granulated Sugar
      • 2 Large Eggs (Beaten)
      • 1/2 Tablespoon Salt
      • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
      • 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
      • 4 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
      • 1 Egg Wash (1 Egg & 1 Teaspoon Water Whisked Together)
      • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds (Toasted)


  1. In a small bowl, combine yeast, water, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Set aside for 10 minutes, or until foamy.
  2. In a stand mixer, beat eggs and add salt, oil, yeast mixture and remaining sugar. Gradually add flour and mix well for 15 minutes to form a smooth dough. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and allow to rise for 3 hours.
  3. Line a sheet pan with Silpat or parchment paper and set aside.
  4. Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth. Divide dough into 3 equal pieces and roll into 3 long strands. Braid the strands and place on the prepared sheet pan. Set aside for 1 hour to rise.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat dough with a thin layer of egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
