Ingredients

      • 1 Pound Egg Noodles
      • 1 Gallon Cold Water
      • 1/2 Cup Butter
      • 4 Large Eggs (Beaten)
      • 1 Cup Sugar
      • 1 1/2 Cups Applesauce
      • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
      • 2 Cups Raisins
      • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a large baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium high heat, bring water to a boil. Add noodles and cook while stirring occasionally for 5 minutes. Use a colander to drain noodles well and transfer to a large bowl. Add butter to noodles and stir until melted. Stir in eggs, applesauce, raisins, sugar & vanilla.
  3. Transfer noodle mixture to prepared baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon evenly. With a piece of aluminum foil, cover the baking dish and bake for about 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake until kugel is bubbly and golden brown, about 30 minutes more. Remove dish from the oven set on a wire rack to cool. Serve warm or chill in the refrigerator for about 2 hours to serve cold.
