      • 2 Cups Masa Arepa (Found In The Latin Aisle, Or A At A Latin Grocery Store)
      • 2 Teaspoons Salt
      • 2 1/2 Cups Warm Water
      • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil


  1. In a large bowl, add masarepa and salt and whisk until combined. Pour in water and whisk until combined and without lumps. Allow dough to rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each into a ball. Flatten dough balls into a disk about 1-inch thick.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil and heat until sizzling. Place arepas in the skillet and fry until lightly browned, about 6 minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
