Vanilla Chocolate Pudding Recipe

This sweet treat is one of our favorite recipes for kids. Just combine crushed Ritz crackers with vanilla ice cream and chocolate pudding mix to create a creamy base. Then add cool whip, walnuts, and chocolate chips for a dessert with a variety of textures. Refrigerate to allow the dish to get firm before serving.

      • 1/2 Cup Butter (Melted)
      • 1 Quart Vanilla Ice Cream (Softened)
      • 1/4 Cup Milk
      • 3/4 Cup Mini Chocolate Chips
      • 1 Cup Walnuts (Ground)


  1. Combine together butter and crackers in a bowl using your hands or in a food processor. Press the crumbly mixture into a 9x13 inches Pyrex dish. Refrigerate to chill for about 1 hour.
  2. In the meantime, beat together milk, pudding mix and ice cream together. Fold in chocolate chips and stir just to combine, do not mix well.
  3. Pour the ice cream mixture over the set crumb mixture and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Spread cool whip and sprinkle walnuts over the top.
