      • 2 Tablespoons All- Purpose Flour
      • 1/4 Cup Frozen Peas
      • 2 Tablespoons Butter
      • 2 Cups Milk
      • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper
      • 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Red Pepper
      • 1/2 Pound Elbow Macaroni
      • 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese


  1. Cook the macaroni until al dente, drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  2. In a Dutch oven, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add flour and whisk for 2 minutes until smooth. Gradually stir in milk and keep whisking for 5 minutes, or until thickened. Turn off heat and add pasta, cheddar cheese, frozen peas, salt & pepper.
  3. Allow the macaroni & cheese to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
